Global Trends of the Energy Transition
June 22nd, 10:00 – 12:00 a.m. (CEST)
The World Energy Council – Germany organised a panel discussion to explore the future of the energy system, to understand the energy transition and its global implementation, and to learn about new technological solutions.
Some of the questions discussed included the following: What are important and uncertain issues on the energy agenda in Germany and other regions of the world? How is the energy transition perceived and what are priorities of decision makers worldwide? What are current developments regarding hydrogen, Direct Air Capture (DAC), digitalisation and other important issues in the context of a sustainable energy future? To what extent is the current environment favourable for innovation and start-up initiatives?
Together with international energy experts and start-up representatives, the audience had the opportunity to learn about the future of the energy transition and to discuss the opportunities and challenges of start-up initiatives with the panelists.
